Released in 2012, California Republic was a key moment in The Game’s post-major label run—an independent mixtape hosted by DJ Skee that blended raw West Coast energy with polished, radio-ready cuts. This original promo card, designed around the California flag with a red-bandana bear, was part of the push behind the project. Signed by both The Game and DJ Skee, it reflects a time when mixtapes were still physical currency, and Skee was one of the few DJs with the reach to take a tape from Compton to global headphones. Pulled from Skee’s personal archive, it’s a rare signed piece from the crossover between mixtape culture and mainstream recognition.
