Description

Original Scooby-Doo Learn to Letter pad repurposed by Snoop Dogg as a working rhyme notebook. The lined 12" x 9" children’s writing guide—originally designed to help kids practice the alphabet—features multiple pages filled with handwritten verses in Snoop’s hand, drafted in both blue and black ink across various sections of the notepad.

Pages include loose rhymes, possible song drafts, short bars, punchlines, and stray thoughts. Some lyrics appear to reference known releases, while others are undocumented and potentially unreleased. Verses touch on themes ranging from street come-ups to self-identity, hip-hop legacy, and West Coast pride. One page closes with: “You ain’t really trippin’ / We just pushin’ it really quite alright.” Another fragment repeats, “Tell me how you feel,” as part of a potential hook.

The juxtaposition of childhood learning materials with the adult content of Snoop’s rhymes reflects the way he often blends playfulness and raw honesty in his persona. Notebooks like this were never intended for public view—used as throwaway writing pads or rehearsal aides, they rarely survive unless pulled directly from an artist’s archive. This one comes from Snoop’s personal collection and preserves a unique snapshot of his writing process in its rawest form.
