Presented to Antoine "DJ Yella" Carraby, this official RIAA Platinum plaque recognizes the sale of more than one million units of Creepin on Ah Come Up, the breakout 1994 EP from Bone Thugs-N-Harmony. Released through Ruthless Records in partnership with Relativity, the project marked a major transition point in the label’s post-N.W.A. era, introducing a new generation of artists handpicked by Eazy-E.
The EP introduced Bone Thugs-N-Harmony’s now-iconic melodic-fast-flow delivery and launched the group into national prominence. Tracks like “Thuggish Ruggish Bone” and “Foe tha Love of $” became defining entries in mid-'90s hip hop, known for blending Cleveland grit with G-funk-infused West Coast production. Behind the scenes, DJ Yella remained a key production force and executive presence at Ruthless, shaping the label’s direction during this pivotal time.
The plaque features silver-colored representations of the vinyl, CD, and cassette formats, along with two artwork panels and the official RIAA certification plate personalized to DJ Yella. His signature appears on the outer glass of the framed award.
