Description
Released in October 1993, It’s On (Dr. Dre) 187um Killa marked Eazy-E’s aggressive return to solo form following N.W.A.’s breakup and the beginning of his feud with Dr. Dre. The EP debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top R&B Albums chart and became the first gangsta rap EP to go multi-platinum. Presented to Antoine “DJ Yella” Carraby, this RIAA Platinum Sales Award commemorates the sale of over 1,000,000 copies of the EP through Ruthless and Relativity Records.
The plaque includes the original album cover, CD and cassette elements, and was signed by DJ Yella on the matting. As Eazy-E’s final release before his death in 1995, the EP holds historical weight in West Coast hip-hop and Death Row/Ruthless-era conflict. Notable tracks include “Real Muthaphuckkin G’s” and “Any Last Werdz,” both of which reinforced Eazy-E’s stance amid a highly public feud with former bandmate Dr. Dre.
