Presented to Antoine "DJ Yella" Carraby, this official RIAA Platinum plaque commemorates the certified sale of over one million units of Efil4zaggin, the 1991 final full-length release from N.W.A. Issued after Ice Cube’s departure, the album marked a new creative chapter for the group, anchored entirely by the production work of DJ Yella and Dr. Dre.
Released by Ruthless Records in partnership with Priority, Efil4zaggin merged funk-driven instrumentals with dense studio layering, cinematic interludes, and sharp social provocation. DJ Yella co-produced the full project and played a central role in shaping its track flow and sonic architecture. Despite little support from radio due to its confrontational content, the album debuted at No. 2 and quickly reached No. 1 on the Billboard Top Pop Albums chart—making N.W.A. the first hardcore rap act to top the mainstream U.S. chart.
Widely regarded as a cultural marker, the album concluded N.W.A.'s career as a group and paved the way for the rise of West Coast solo dynasties in the decade to follow.
The framed award includes silver-colored vinyl and cassette elements, a reproduction of the album cover, and a personalized RIAA certification plate engraved for DJ Yella. His autograph appears in black marker on the outer display glass.
There is some water damage on the reverse side of the frame, and a portion of the rear adhesive backing is beginning to separate. These do not affect the front-facing presentation. Please refer to images for condition.
