Presented to Antoine “DJ Yella” Carraby, this RIAA-certified Gold award recognizes the sale of more than 500,000 copies of the No More Lies single—issued by Michel’le in 1989 under Ruthless Records. The track was the debut solo single from Michel’le and became one of the label’s most commercially successful releases outside of the N.W.A. catalog.

Produced by DJ Yella and Dr. Dre, No More Lies became a national hit, peaking at No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100 and earning critical attention for Michel’le’s distinctive high-pitched speaking voice contrasted with her deep, gospel-influenced vocal delivery. The single helped establish Ruthless as a multi-genre powerhouse and launched Michel’le as one of the earliest female solo artists in mainstream hip hop and R&B crossover markets.

This award includes a gold-colored 12" vinyl, gold cassette representation, a full-color inset of the single’s sleeve artwork, and an RIAA certification plate engraved with DJ Yella’s name. His signature appears on the outer glass. The award’s components match the standard vertical Gold single format of the late 1980s, with period-accurate RIAA hologram and layout.
