Description

Game-used field grass clippings from Lincoln Financial Field, collected during the Philadelphia Eagles’ 33-26 comeback win over the Los Angeles Rams on September 21, 2025. In one of the most dramatic finishes of the 2025 season, the Eagles erased a 19-point second-half deficit and scored 26 unanswered points to improve their early-season record.

Quarterback Jalen Hurts led the offensive charge with three touchdown passes, while A.J. Brown posted 109 receiving yards and a score. Saquon Barkley contributed a key late carry to extend a critical drive. Defensively, Jordan Davis delivered two game-changing plays—stuffing a fourth-down attempt in the fourth quarter and sealing the win by blocking a potential game-tying field goal and returning it for a touchdown as time expired.

At the end of regulation, with the Eagles holding a narrow 27-26 lead and just three seconds left on the clock, Rams kicker Joshua Karty lined up for a 44-yard attempt. Davis burst through the line and swatted the kick at the line of scrimmage, then scooped up the loose ball and rumbled 61 yards for a touchdown. According to Next Gen Stats, the 336-pound Davis reached a top speed of 18.59 mph—the fastest recorded by any player over 330 pounds since at least 2017. The play earned him NFC Special Teams Player of the Week honors, and head coach Nick Sirianni called it the “Play of the Game,” even as he joked that Davis probably should’ve just fallen on the ball.

These clippings were collected by the Eagles grounds crew from the end zone nearest the players’ tunnel immediately following the game. They preserve a piece of the turf from a wild comeback at Lincoln Financial Field—capping a game that saw both momentum swings and a walk-off defensive touchdown.
