Description

Game-used field grass clippings from Lincoln Financial Field, collected during the Philadelphia Eagles’ 21–17 loss to the Denver Broncos on October 5, 2025. The Week 5 matchup marked the Eagles’ first defeat of the season, as Denver erased a 14-point fourth-quarter deficit to complete a late comeback on the road.

Quarterback Bo Nix led the Broncos with 242 passing yards and a touchdown, while edge rusher Nik Bonitto delivered a standout defensive performance—recording 2.5 sacks, 2 tackles for loss, and earning AFC Defensive Player of the Week honors. Running back J.K. Dobbins added a fourth-quarter touchdown that helped complete Denver’s rally, and wideout Courtland Sutton led all receivers with 99 yards on eight catches.

For Philadelphia, Jalen Hurts threw for 280 yards and two touchdowns without an interception, including a 47-yard touchdown pass to Saquon Barkley early in the second half. DeVonta Smith led the Eagles in receiving with 114 yards, and Za’Darius Smith recorded his first solo sack as an Eagle, stalling a Broncos drive late in the game.

These clippings were collected by the Eagles grounds crew from the end zone nearest the home tunnel immediately following the conclusion of the game. They preserve a physical remnant of a tightly contested interconference matchup at Lincoln Financial Field, where a fourth-quarter collapse defined one of the more dramatic losses in the Eagles' 2025 season.
