This primetime matchup opened the 2025 NFL season and marked the first appearance of the reigning Super Bowl champion Eagles. Before kickoff, Philadelphia unveiled its championship banner, setting the tone for a highly charged night.
The game featured multiple flashpoints—including the pregame ejection of Jalen Carter following an altercation with Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott, and a post-kickoff brawl between players.
