Known for his tireless pre-game routine, Gwynn earned the nickname “Captain Video” for the countless hours he spent studying tape to perfect his swing. That dedication paid off—he batted over .300 for 19 consecutive seasons. The only exception? His 1982 rookie campaign, in which he hit .289 across just 54 games. This shirt is a subtle but meaningful tribute to one of baseball’s most steady and prepared professionals.
