Description
Hand-numbered 22 out of 110, the lithograph features a detailed portrait of Tony Gwynn in San Diego Padres pinstripes, seated in the dugout with a bat across his shoulder. Gwynn’s steady presence and technical mastery at the plate are echoed in the calm strength captured by the artist—whose identity remains unknown. Over his 20-season career, Gwynn recorded 45 games with four or more hits, building a legacy as one of the most consistent hitters in baseball history. Just 110 of these lithographs were created, all signed in pencil by both the artist and Gwynn himself. Two copies originally retained by Gwynn are included in this event.
