Custom Delaware State Hornets LED Sign – Used at 2025 Lincoln Financial Field HBCU Showcase (10/30/2025)

Custom Delaware State Hornets LED sign created specifically for the HBCU football matchup between Delaware State and Norfolk State hosted by the Philadelphia Eagles and held at Lincoln Financial Field on October 30, 2025.

Delaware State served as the home team and made their entrance through the Philadelphia Eagles tunnel. This LED sign hung in the hallway leading from the tunnel to the field, greeting the Hornets players before kickoff.

The design features a four-color illuminated hornet logo mounted on black acrylic, with a green “10/7” in the corner—a nod to the return of DeSean Jackson and Michael Vick, two former Eagles teammates who faced off as head coaches for the first time. Both Jackson and Vick brought their NFL experience to the HBCU sidelines, adding depth and symbolism to a game that became as much about mentorship and legacy as the final score.

Delaware State defeated Norfolk State 27–20 in front of a crowd that witnessed not just a game, but a full-circle moment for two Philadelphia legends.

The LED sign was handcrafted in Philadelphia and served as part of the team’s visual identity for this special occasion.
