Description
This tournament-used hole cup was installed on the par-3 6th hole at Quail Hollow Club during the 2025 PGA Championship—the same cup that received Si Woo Kim’s record-breaking hole-in-one. On May 16, during Round 2, Kim struck a 5-wood from 252 yards. His ball landed on the front of the green, took two hops, and rolled directly into the hole.
The shot set a new benchmark for the longest ace in major championship history, surpassing his own 238-yard ace from the 2024 Open Championship.
The ace, which came on Kim’s 15th hole of the day after starting on the back nine, brought him to 5-under for the tournament. He birdied the next hole and finished with a second-round 64, tying the low round of the day. It was his second career ace in a major and his sixth on the PGA Tour—the most by any player since 2016. Kim celebrated by launching his club and sprinting down the fairway, a moment replayed across the golf world.
